Ramallah, Qais Abdel Kareem (Abu Leila), deputy secretary-general of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine(DFLP), received a representative from the German parliament for the Left Party Sabine Zimmerman, chairwoman of the Women and Youth Committee of the German Parliament, who is visiting the occupied Palestinian territories in solidarity with the Palestinian people, to see the occupation and its aggressive actions on the ground. The meeting was attended by Nihad Abu Ghosh, head of the Information and Education Office of the Democratic Front, Ote Buick, Director of the Rosa Luxemburg organization, Areib Al-Amed, and Fadwa Khader, member of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian People's Party.

During the meeting, Abdel-Kareem discussed the latest political developments in Palestine, starting by highlighting the dangers of the decision taken recently by the German deputies council (Bundestag), which classifies the international boycott movement (BDS), as an anti-Semitic movement, praising at the same time the position of the German Left Party and its deputies who refuses the decision, stressing that the German and European left in general are the natural allies of our Palestinian people struggling for its freedom and independence.

Abu Leila explained that the decision is equalising between Judaism and colonial Zionist practices and occupation, and thus classifies hundreds of thousands of Jews and dozens of Jewish organizations that reject the occupation as anti-Semitic, which is a form of arrogance even for Jews, and it encourages the government of the extreme right in Israel to continue its racist policies and procedures and daily violations of human rights and international law.

He also called on the German Left to cooperate with the European Left and with Palestinian rights advocates to revoke the German law in the Human Rights Counci
