The Objections Dont Stop The Annexation

Normally, Netanyahu government worries about the escalating European objections on the annexation plan, and the warnings it received from the European Union through the German Foreign Minister who visited Israel recently. It is also worried about statements by responsible figures in the American Democratic Party that reject the annexation and consider it harmful to American interests, and the worry turns into obsession with the demonstrations taking place in the United States on the background of killing the black citizen George Floyd at the hands of the police, and the possibility of Trump's loss in the upcoming presidential elections. In addition to the above, the mass demonstration that Tel Aviv witnessed recently, which refused the annexation decision.

For Netanyahu, this means only one thing: speeding up the implementation of the plan, and dedicating it to a reality that imposes itself on the ground and on the positions of others, in a frantic race with any developments that could put obstacles in the way of his project.

It can be said that highlighting the positions of the European Union on the issue of annexation, and the statements of the American “Democratic” about it were contradicted with Netanyahu's estimates that the international and regional Preoccupation with the repercussions of the Coronavirus outbreak will facilitate the passage of the implementation steps for annexation. With the expansion of the positions rejecting this plan, Netanyahu adopted a number of integrated methods to continue the implementation of his colonial project:

Here, in a justification for the delay, Zvi Hauser, the head of the committee, sees that the Knesset "is not subjected to this agreement, and it is independent

measures in the Knesset by enacting a law enables the acceleration of the annexation process, because these measures will be implemented as a duty of "sovereignty", including, the operations of demolishing Palestinian homes, confiscating their lands in the areas subjected to annexation, and transferring their ownership to the settlers. Besides, establishing ownership of settlement structures for the benefit of the occupying power and its settlers. An Israeli report stated that the annexation plan in the context of its implementation, will lead to the registration of 100,000 settlement apartments in the “title deed”, as the property of the settlers. One of the indicators of the acceleration of annexation is the start of building electrical and water infrastructure and streets in the Jordan Valley, and the demolition of residential buildings for Palestinians in the Jericho area.

Resorting to maneuver by adopting a misleading letter that attempts to camouflage the actual annexation map, which are messages that are contradict in its content according to whom they are directed. The Israeli media published statements by Likud officials saying that “Netanyahu will announce the annexation of the major cities (settlements), Ma’aleh Adumim and Ariel, and the Gush Etzion region, but he will waive the imposition of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the rest of Judea and Samaria (the occupied West Bank),” and this means that it is a message to the international community and those who reject the annexation from the region.

While Netanyahu sent a message to the settlers through statements made by Likud poles, they exclude that “the annexation plan will be implemented if a recognition of a Palestinian state needed. And that the talk in the Knesset and the government “is not about the establishment of a Palestinian state but only on the imposition of Israeli sovereignty.” These statements coincide with the continuation of the settlement council heads' opposition to the deal.

In this regard, the Trump administration is stepping into the line from the point of view of using the title of the "International Quartet" and the UN Security Council in the context of its recent call to resume negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, but on the basis of the "deal". It is here trying to shuffle the cards, giving Netanyahu government more time, and easing the pressures on it to continue the annexation measures. In any way, it is a call with a hidden meaning to agree to the "deal" as a basis for the "solution.

Maas, to both Israel and Jordan. These statements attempted to suggest that "until now, a final map of the annexation has not been drawn up".

• Netanyahu puts his former rival Benny Ghats as a security minister at the forefront of a scene appears the form of a unified position of the annexation scheme within the government. Despite what was reported by the Hebrew media about a disagreement between "Likud" and "Kabul Lavan" about the time of the annexation, but, Gantz instructed the occupation army to remain fully prepared to "deal" with any practical Palestinian reactions in the context of rejecting the plan.

The announcement of the political side of the Trump-Netanyahu deal, especially with regard to the annexation scheme, led to the emergence of more international and regional reactions than was taking place with every aggressive step that Trump was taking against Palestinian rights, and this is the first time that the positions of the two American parties “Republican” and "Democratic" contradict from the Israeli government's policy on the settlement to this extent, and that this discrepancy has become part of the electoral rhetoric for each of them with the oncoming presidential election. It can be said that the dispute between them in this regard is a candidate for escalation, especially since the leadership of the Democratic Party studying in depth the European and regional reactions within Israel from the annexation scheme, and may this widening opposition seek to include Trump administration’s policies beyond the settlement file in the Middle East towards multiple international files , and it is an important element for the Democratic party nominee when he criticize the Trump administration's foreign policies in the context of the upcoming election battle.

This does not mean that the Democratic Party has the balanced and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. And it is known , that the democratic and republican administrations have alternated decades of excluding international legitimacy decisions, denying Palestinian national rights and siding with the interests of the occupation and its expansion policies.
