The Boycott Movement (BDS): Mass protests against normalization

The General Coordinator of the Boycott Movement (BDS), "Mahmoud Nawajaa", welcomed the European Court of Human Rights unanimously issued a decision supporting the right of European citizens to boycott "Israel", considering this decision a major victory for the boycott movement specially in Europe.

The boycott campaign (BDS) also launched a tweets campaign on social media entitled: “Moroccans against normalization”, in opposition to the normalization between Morocco and the Israeli occupation state.

The boycott movement (BDS) welcomed the withdrawal of the Palestinian political researcher "Saeed Al-Hajj" from a live program on the BBC Arabic channel because of hosting an "Israeli"

participant in the program.

The (BDS) movement also praised the decoration of the entrance to “Ibn Zaher” University in the "Moroccan" city of “Agadir” with Palestinian flags and the burning of Israeli flags, in opposition to the Moroccan-Israeli normalization.

Activists in Morocco organized a protest stand in which they raised slogans in support of the Palestinian cause and against all forms and types of normalization with the Israeli occupation state.

For his part, the head of the Moroccan Observatory against Normalization, "Ahmed Wehman," indicated that any normalization with the Israeli occupation state is an attack on the feelings of Moroccans and an insult to them.

In turn, the Moroccan authorities cordoned off the "August 20" square in "Khenifra" city and prevented the organization of the stand rejecting normalization and arrested a number of students to prevent another stand condemning normalization, which was organized by students of "University - Mawla Ismail."

In the same context, the boycott movement (BDS) published an article by the Prime Minister of Morocco, “Saad Eddine El Othmani”, which was previously published under the title: “Normalization is a civilizational genocide,” and criticized him for agreeing to normalization with the occupation state and attending the signing ceremony.

In a related development, the Moroccan authorities attacked the angry protest stand rejecting the normalization with the Israeli occupation state, which was organized by the boycott - "Sidi Othman" in the city of "Casablanca".

On the other hand, the boycott movement (BDS) condemned the phone call that took place between the King of Morocco, “Mohammed VI”, and the Israeli Prime Minister, “Netanyahu”, which aims to restore relations between Morocco and the Israeli occupation state.

In Libya and Algeria, grocery stores also boycotted UAE goods, as a result of the normalization agreement between the UAE and the Israeli occupation state.

On the other hand, Algeria proposed a law that prohibits promoting normalization with the Israeli occupation state and considering it a misdemeanor affecting the unity of the Arab nation.

The Tunisian Democratic Current has condemned the holding of normalization agreements with the Israeli occupation state by the Moroccan regime and its predecessors, declaring its support for the position of the Presidency of the Republic and the Tunisian Foreign Ministry rejecting all forms of normalization.

While the boycott movement (BDS) condemned raising the flags of the Emirates, Bahrain and America in the Israeli settlements and in the” Al-Buraq” Wall plaza in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, to celebrate normalization.

Meanwhile, the "Saudis against normalization" rejected the individual calls for normalization with the Israeli occupation state and emphasized that they only represent themselves.

In turn, the "Palestine Will Triumph" League in France called for continuing the general mobilization against the Israeli occupation and promoting a boycott of its products.

In the same context, the head of the International Cooperation Committee in the Indonesian parliament, "Fadli Zon," declared the impossibility of normalizing Indonesia with the Israeli occupation state, despite American pressure to normalize with it.

The boycott movement (BDS) in Belgium called on the European Borders and Coast Guard agency, “Frontex”, to terminate its contract with the Israeli company, “Elbit” Systems, which supplies it with unmanned drones tested on the Palestinians. It also called on the European Union to stop funding the military industries for the occupation.

Likewise, a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people was organized in the Centrum of the Dutch city of "Harlem", in which a large number of Dutch and foreign activists and solidarity activists and a number of members of the Palestinian community participated at the invitation of the Palestinian Democratic Assembly in the Netherlands and a group of Dutch activists and solidarity activists.
