الحركة العمالية الأمريكية تدعو إلى وقف إطلاق النار في غزة

وقعت كبرى النقابات الأميركية وتضم تحالفا يزيد الى لان عن 200 نقابة واتحاد عمالي تضم في عضويتها عشرات ملايين الاعضاء ومعظمها نقابات من التيار المركزي الوسطي الليبرالي على بيان مشترك يطالب بالوقف الفوري لاطلاق النار وتقديم مساعدات طارئة للفلسطينيين في غزة ووقف توريد السلاح.

وأكد بيان مشترك للنقابات لا زال التوقيع متواصلا عليه أن " أعضاء الحركة العمالية الأمريكية يتعاطفون ويحزنون على الخسائر في الأرواح في إسرائيل وفلسطين. واعتبر البيان عن تضامن الحركة العمالية مع جميع العمال وعن دعم مطالب تحقيق السلام. ودعا البيان الرئيس الاميركي جو بايدن والكونغرس إلى الدفع من أجل وقف فوري لإطلاق النار وإنهاء الحصار على غزة. وقال البيان: لا يمكننا قصف طريقنا نحو السلام. كما ندين أي جرائم كراهية ضد المسلمين أو اليهود أو أي شخص آخر بالتالي تنضم النقابات إلى جهود من يطالبون بوقف فوري لإطلاق النار.

واكد البيان ضرورة استعادة الحقوق الأساسية للفلسطينيين بما يشمل السماح بدخول الماء والوقود والغذاء والمساعدات الإنسانية الأخرى إلى غزة، وإعادة الكهرباء، والسماح للمواطنين الأجانب والفلسطينيين الذين يحتاجون إلى رعاية طبية بالخروج من غزة. وقال البيان انه يتعين على الأطراف المتصارعة الالتزام بمعايير القانون الدولي وقواعد الحرب التي تنص عليها اتفاقية جنيف فيما يتعلق برفاهية وأمن المدنيين بما يشمل

إطلاق سراح الرهائن الإسرائيليين. وأكد البيان على ضرورة وقف لإطلاق النار في غزة وتوقف دائرة العنف لأتاحة تقدم المفاوضات من أجل سلام دائم. ودعا البيان الرئيس بايدن إلى الدعوة على الفور إلى وقف إطلاق النار. وقال البيان: "إن الطريق إلى العدالة لا يمكن تمهيده بالقنابل والحرب. إن الطريق إلى السلام لا يمكن إيجاده من خلال الحرب.

واكدت النقابات انها تلتزم بالعمل للتضامن مع الشعبين الفلسطيني والإسرائيلي لتحقيق السلام والعدالة. واشار البيان الى ان اعضاء النقابات الموقع على البيان هم من خلفيات متنوعة، بما في ذلك اليهود والمسلمين ومجتمعات الشرق الأوسط. وقال: "إن التصعيد المتزايد للحرب ومبيعات الأسلحة لا يخدم مصالح العمال في أي مكان. في النهاية، نريد جميعًا مكانًا نسميه وطنًا ويكون فيه أطفالنا آمنين. يريد العاملون في جميع أنحاء العالم ويستحقون أن يعيشوا متحررين من آثار العنف والحرب والعسكرة".

وأوضح البيان ان آلاف الأميركيين انضموا إلى موجة التضامن العالمي للمطالبة بوقف إطلاق النار الآن بالتالي حان دور الحركة العمالية لإسماع صوتها والمطالبة بوقف إطلاق النار.

وقال البيان: معًا، يمكننا أن ندافع عن السلام والعدالة ومستقبل أفضل للعاملين في كل مكان.
